Yes. In your account, the “Send a folder” button packs the folder into a single ZIP file as it uploads — you don't need to compress it first. With the Plus, Premium and Business plans you can also sync folders from your computer or phone.
Just one. A folder with hundreds of photos sent as a ZIP takes up only one of your plan's files; the space used is the size of the ZIP.
Yes. A ZIP share link opens a list of the folders and files inside it, with search, and photos and videos can be viewed right there. Only what the person opens is transferred.
Yes. When you share a file by email, choose the password option: whoever receives the link has to enter it before downloading the file.
